Privacy policy
This policy explains data practices for Candy Monsters, a game provided by Fractured Light Studios in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It covers the game’s advertising, analytics and in-app purchases.
Information processed when you play
Candy Monsters integrates Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), Google Analytics for Firebase and Unity In-App Purchasing with Google Play Billing. These services process information needed to provide and measure their features.
- Game activity: screen views, sessions, engagement, level starts and completions, ad interactions and purchase-button interactions are recorded for analytics.
- Device and app information: identifiers such as an app-instance identifier, app set ID and Android advertising ID where available, together with device, operating-system and app information, can be processed by the integrated services.
- Approximate location: network information such as an IP address can be used to estimate general location. Analytics location and device reporting is enabled. The Android app does not request GPS location permission.
- Diagnostics: the advertising SDK processes performance information, such as app launch time, responsiveness and other diagnostic information.
- Purchases: Google Play processes the payment. Product, transaction, purchase-status and receipt information is used by the purchasing integration to process purchases and provide the purchased content. Google’s payment service handles payment-method information.
Why this information is used
Information is used to operate game features and purchases, understand how the game is used, measure performance, display and measure advertising, diagnose problems, and prevent fraud or abuse. Google’s advertising services may use device identifiers and interaction information for advertising and measurement, subject to applicable settings and consent requirements.
Service providers and sharing
Information is transmitted to the providers of the integrated services. Google Mobile Ads collects and shares advertising-related information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Google Analytics for Firebase processes analytics information. Google Play and Unity provide the purchasing services. Their processing is also described in their own privacy information:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from apps that use its services
- Firebase privacy and security information
- Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy
Retention and security
Our Google Analytics property is configured to retain event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data retention period resets when a user is active again. These controls do not apply to most aggregated standard reports and do not define the retention periods for advertising, purchase records or data held independently by service providers.
Google documents encryption in transit for data collected by its Mobile Ads and Firebase services. Purchase and provider records are subject to the relevant provider’s retention and security practices. Contact us if you need information about a particular record or privacy request.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can manage your Android advertising ID in your device’s privacy or advertising settings, where available. Resetting or deleting that identifier does not necessarily stop all analytics or other identifiers. You can manage Google Account activity and advertising preferences through your Google Account.
You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information relating to you, or to ask about other rights available under applicable law. Include “Candy Monsters privacy” in the subject and describe your request. We may need additional information to locate the relevant data and verify the request. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or other unnecessary sensitive information. Data held independently by Google or Unity may also require a request through that provider’s privacy controls.
Children and families
Candy Monsters is intended for a broad audience, including children. Its AdMob app-level advertising content rating is set to General Audiences (G). This rating controls ad content; it is not a statement that identifiers or analytics are disabled. Parents or guardians with questions about a child’s use of the game or information processed through it should contact us using the details below.
